EQUIPMENT AND SAFETY
It is encumbent on all walkers to act responsibly and be resilient whilst undertaking activities in the outdoors.
Personal equipment must be appropriate to the type of activity to be carried out. This can be identified with the walk leader prior to the walk. All participants must inform the walk leader of any health matters and/or medication being taken, in the strictest confidence, and act on all instructions given by the leader.
Although we are keen for people to achieve their aims, Healthy Hikes reserves the right to refuse anybody they consider to be inadequately equipped for the day's activity on the grounds of their and the group's safety.
The following equipment list will provide participants with an idea of what will be required. This will be confirmed nearer the time of the walk.
